Submission Terms

These terms apply when you send a project, photographs or other material to Atrio Magazine for possible publication.

Atrio Magazine is published by Matoma OÜ (registry code 17459866), Ahtri tn 12, 15551 Tallinn, Estonia. Submissions are sent to info@atriocommunications.com.

Your rights to the material

By sending us material, you confirm that:

• you own the rights to it, or have the permission of the photographer and every other rights holder to share it with us for publication;
• the people shown in the photographs, and the owners of private homes featured, have agreed to publication;
• the credits you provide — architects, designers, photographers and collaborators — are complete and accurate;
• publication will not infringe anyone’s rights or breach any confidentiality obligation.

Permission to publish

If we decide to publish your project, you grant Matoma OÜ a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use the material you sent, with credit, in order to:

• publish it on the Atrio Magazine website and keep it in our online archive;
• share it on Atrio Magazine’s social media, including Instagram and Facebook;
• promote the published story, for example in previews or in future collections of Atrio stories.

We may crop and resize images to fit our layouts and edit texts for clarity, length and style, without changing their meaning. You keep the copyright in your material and remain free to use it elsewhere. We will not sell your images or license them to third parties.

Credits

We credit the architect or designer and the photographer of every project we publish, using the names you give us. Please tell us exactly how each person or studio wishes to be credited.

Selection and payment

Publication is at our editorial discretion. We are not obliged to publish material we receive, to explain our decision, or to publish by a particular date. Editorial features are not paid for, by either side; sponsored content is agreed separately in writing and is always labelled as such.

Changes and removal

If a credit is wrong or you have a concern about a published story, write to us and we will correct it promptly. If you need us to remove an image — for example because a homeowner has withdrawn consent — please contact us and we will review the request in good faith. Posts already shared on social media may remain visible on those platforms.

Responsibility for the material

If a third party makes a claim against us because material you sent infringes their rights, or because the confirmations above were not true, you agree to compensate us for the reasonable costs resulting from that claim, to the extent permitted by law.

Personal data

We handle the personal data in your submission as described in our Privacy Policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Estonia, and disputes will be settled by Harju County Court (Harju Maakohus), unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
